What is ELDOA?

ELDOA is a form of postural exercise meant to increase the space within a chosen articulation. Creating space between the joints allows for an array of benefits including: improvement in joint mechanics, increased blood flow, reduced pressure on the discs, reduced bodily pain, spinal disc rehydration, better muscle tone, improved posture, and a heightened sense of well-being and physical awareness.

How Does It Work?

The pulling of the fascia helps to normalize the placement of the internal structure of the body, allowing the structure to return to homeostasis.

The ELDOA class is an hour long class that targets the enhancement of the skeletal and nervous systems. The class will start with a 15 minute Osteo articular Warm-Up, followed by 45 minutes of ELDOA postures.

What is Segmental training?

Segmental strength training utilizes micro movements and fascial tension in order target a specific portion of a muscle, and work it in different ranges of motion. Segmental exercises focus on micro movements to build strength in a specified portion of a muscle. Increasing the quality of micro movement leads to better macro movement. These exercises lead to better over all muscle quality.

The postures you learn in ELDOA reduce chronic pain with spinal decompression and create space between the joints. This results in reduced pain, a greater range of movement and flexibility, improved blood circulation, reduced pressure on the back, more fluidity in the spine, and improved posture and muscle tone.

The postural exercises you learn here can bring your entire body’s structure and functions back into balance and optimal health.

Segmental Muscle Strengthening – Gluteus, Abs, and the Upper Body

Classes in segmental muscle strengthening include a wide variety of exercises that strengthen the deepest parts of each muscle for rehabilitation to improve tone and athletic performance. You will learn how to prevent and rehabilitate back pain, proper warm-up and cool-down techniques, how to avoid injury, quality muscular effort, muscular re-education, and more.

Myofascial Stretching

Did you know that stretching a muscle is only effective once the “skin,” or the fascia that covers it, is free and functional?

Myofascial stretching teaches you how to do targeted stretching by utilizing your fascia. This method of stretching respects the anatomy and function of each muscle, the fascial tissue connected them, and the direction of the fibers in relationship to each other. It is an incredibly effective way to stretch for long-term injury prevention and to increase range of motion and flexibility.
